Meniere’s disease and BPPV are conventionally considered to be distinct and separate clinical entities. Experience however has demonstrated that the actual presentation of either these conditions may extend beyond the constraints of a strict textbook definition. Furthermore, there is not infrequently a clinical overlap, with patients exhibiting features of both conditions. This presentation reviews some atypical presentations of both of these conditions, and presents a hypothesis which may account for possible link between them.
