Hearing Restoration : 22 Years of experiences with cochlear Implant and Implantable Hearing aids:

In mentioned presentation I am going to explain a brief history of cochlear implant and it’s evolution, then with some video clips I’ll try to show improvement of our outcome in Iran in the last 22 years, alteration in it’s indication significantly change our perspective about C.I so that currently many different conditions and diseases can benefit from C.I.

Emerging Implantable Hearing aids with different advantages & disadvantages also furnish us to offer new treatment modalities to our patients who suffer from Hearing loss, in this regard I would like to express my surgical techniques & their changes in the recent years. my main focuses will be on BAHA and it’s different devices & also Sophono and vibrant sound Bridge.

Finally with expression of our limitations in both C.I & Implantable Hearing aids, I’ll try to show some of our complications & a horizon for future to overcome these complications.

Also improve our abilities to help our patents much better comparing to the past. we had a remarkable history & looking forward to a brilliant future for hearing restoration.
