Personalized medicine in Inner Ear Problems
Dr. Nasrin Yazdani
Meniere`s disease (MD) presents a heterogeneous group of disorders with three symptoms. Inflammatory mechanism may be induced by autoimmune or genetic or microbial antigens .Computational integration of clinical and omics data should transform the management of MD patient from one pill for all to precise patient stratification of new molecular targets including immunosuppressant and gene therapy in the near future. For better research of inner ear disease pathophysiology data collection from patient genomic is important.
So inner ear biobank is mandatory for basic study of inner ear diseases like Meniere›s and sudden sensory hearing loss. Today the role of personalized medicine is very important and future of medicine depends on personalized basic study.
